Parents of Pentagon shooter warned authorities…(heard this song before)
And it’s the Same Old Dance Sadly
Again we have a case where a man’s own family warns officials of impending doom from an unhinged member, and endless red tape along with big government (even in law enforcement) can make even the simplest of law enforcement, tasks like keeping an eye on a clear and present danger they were directly warned about by loved ones no less because one phone call doesn’t go through or even just get made.
They can never seem to connect the dots in these situations, and it has to be the brutal regulations and red tape because our law enforcement people are far from stupid and are the world’s baddest and best. This kind mis-communication was even happening before 911 as many will remember, with the notorious “Gorelick Wall” keeping the free flow of useful information between government agencies from being shared, as a Phoenix AZ FBI office and agent Kenneth Williams had some information that may have helped thwart the attacks that sat un-acted upon until the post-mortem essentially.
Same ending here.
Now we know so much about him the next day it’s like he worked for the government instead knowing it all yesterday, which was obviously possible but didn’t happen. Or they were watching him and were going to arrest him next week for something or another after some surveillance. This was pretty much the same thing in with the recent Nigerian Crotch bomber if you’ll recall as well.
And it will only end when this monster of a government is streamlined dramatically, as opposed to “quadrupled”, as the Obama administration is doing like none before it. Even when compared to Bush’s government expansions many needed after 911 almost, except this group here (Obama’s) has no valid threat or reason for the huge growth other than an opportunity to shift American into mild socialism.
HOLLISTER, Calif. (AP) – The Pentagon shooter had been behaving erratically, and his family feared in January that he had bought a gun, a law enforcement official said Friday.
San Benito County Sheriff Curtis Hill told the AP the parents of John Patrick Bedell filed a missing persons report and were worried about his mental stability. After reading an e-mail from their son to an acquaintance, the parents told deputies they were worried that he had purchased a gun.
Hill said that Bedell has been on the department's radar since 2003, when deputies found him walking along the side of the road. They wrote him up as a “5150″—police code for crazy—and took him to his parents house.
Hill said that Bedell, 36, has been at in-patient mental health institutions at least four times.
The parents reported Bedell missing on Jan. 4, one day after a Texas Highway Patrol officer stopped him for speeding in Amarillo, according to the missing person's report. Bedell told the highway patrolman he was heading for the East Coast, and the officer used Bedell's phones to call his mother, Kaye Bedell, because he seemed disheveled and out of sorts.
